People lose the forest for the trees; it's natural; we all do, every moment. Wise people learn by the teenage years that there is not any hope in fighting to the death. Cooperation in humankinds only way. Better to stand aside and do what really can be done to benefit all, that one percent. Wikipedia gets tons of edits a second. I am hoping it won't all be destroyed by a few bad major decisions. And I don't believe I want to be a part of that power struggle either.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33573016.post-1159126007711052692006-09-24T14:26:00.000-05:002006-09-24T14:26:00.000-05:00I think my sanity won't allow for my editing, even...I think my sanity won't allow for my editing, even anonymously (or with one of my socks). It's inevitable that I'll end up being pulled into some conflict or another, and one thing will lead to another.

And if I do edit with my main account, odds are that one of the people who stalk me (e.g. Friday) will find some lame excuse to attack me. There have been instances of people with philosophical objections to me as an editor reverting spelling corrections edits of mine; I have no reason to believe that such silliness would not continue were I to resume editing under my main identity at this time.

I'll reconsider this after I've cleared my reading list, or at least made a substantial dent on it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04107127399494404366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33573016.post-1159115514280640582006-09-24T11:31:00.000-05:002006-09-24T11:31:00.000-05:00It's always sad to see a wikipediain leave in dist...It's always sad to see a wikipediain leave in distress. You've identified politics as a motivation.

Can I suggest you return to en and work on creating content? You're a talented artist and maybe you can create some articles/illustrations along that line.

Screw politics, come back and create some content. After all, that why good Wikipedians come to the project, isn't it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33573016.post-1159059073482820722006-09-23T19:51:00.000-05:002006-09-23T19:51:00.000-05:00Twas a shame to see you go, but I agree with you o...Twas a shame to see you go, but I agree with you on the politics side of things -- it's disgusting.

Hope your break serves you well, in any caseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
