Maybe next time you can try reaching for your card from the glove compartment without taking off the seatbelt. Oh well, better luck next time, Kelly.Nicole Vickershttp://www.rayskillman.com/page/custom/en/Car-Dealers-Indianapolis-Indiana/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33573016.post-34724108436878484532010-05-31T01:53:28.107-05:002010-05-31T01:53:28.107-05:00A very similar thing happened to me in Berkeley on...A very similar thing happened to me in Berkeley once. I received a phone call while driving (before hands free was mandatory in CA) and my phone was in my back pocket. I unbuckled my safety belt to get my phone and see who was calling me, and rebuckled it, and literally as I was buckling myself back in, blue lights flashing, pulled over, ticketed. I very nearly lost it with the cop, in retrospect it was amazing that he didn't tazer me I was so angry. It cost me the better part of $100 or so, and happened right before Christmas.

A couple of years later, I got pulled over during a short 3 block hop. I was in better control that time, but when the cop told me that he was "trying to save my life", I asked him why I should feel grateful for him charging me for this service.

Assholes. Let no mistake be made, this kind of law are little more than giving cops something that makes a profit, and isn't as difficult as actually working to prevent or prosecute crimes.Mark VandeWetteringhttp://brainwagon.orgnoreply@blogger.com
